I practice what I preach: I established and continue to run The Board Room in Folkestone Harbour, a multiple six-figure turnover, hospitality business. This real-world success gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and joys of small business ownership.

I live in Folkestone, Kent, with with my partner, James, fur baby, Buzz and tortoise, Elliott.  I love to travel in our motorhome and now that we have a garden for the first time, growing flowers and vegetables.  Together with their co-owner, James and Helen also own a successful craft ale brewery in Gravesend, Kent.  Helen loves to learn, committing to learn something new every year, this has led her to attend drawing and painting classes, short story writing and wine tasting.
